Big Bad Communist China



There has been much debate on which country in the world we should truly be worried about, Russia, North Korea, or China, who is the new monster underneath our beds?


It’s China, but why?


The United States has known for decades now that since we opened China up to the world that they have been covertly stealing from our country and the rest of the world through intellectual theft, blackmail, influencing politicians and powerful people in large corporate businesses, and buying land in multiple of these countries.


“The intelligence is clear: Beijing intends to dominate the US and the rest of the planet economically, militarily, and technologically,” John Ratcliffe, the director of national intelligence, stated in an opinion piece published by the Wall Street Journal. This essentially means that they want to become the world’s Largest Super Power, in some ways they have already done that, not by putting the work in, but through espionage tactics, stealing intellectual property, working with some of the biggest names in technology like Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, and Google to expand their dominance in the world.


The cold hard truth is that when you follow the money it doesn’t lie, so let’s take a look into some of the ways that China has either invested in or influenced some of the biggest corporations in the US. For instance, the NBA has a separate branch called NBA China, which is valued at $5 Billion by Sports Business Journal, in 2019. In total revenue, NBA China makes up about 10% of the NBA’s total revenue. While that may be shocking, their players are also being influenced by China, LeBron James, and Steph Curry, for instance, who have multi-million dollar brand deals in China, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. 


Let’s take a look at other Big Corporation’s influence from China.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg, you, yourself can go through the multi-million/billion dollar companies that were built and founded in the US, that make huge profits, and have many investments in China’s success. In fact, I implore you to do some research yourself. This doesn’t include China’s ownership of 146,000 acres of US farmland.


If that doesn’t say something well, maybe this will, it’s estimated that China produces 97 percent of U.S. antibiotics and about 80 percent of active pharmaceutical ingredients used in American drugs. So in short that means at any given point, they could choose not to trade with us, and the United States wouldn’t be able to take care of its citizens’ prescription needs, you couldn’t even get Tylenol, because we get the ingredients to make it from China. These include AMC Entertainment (entertainment), Cirrus Wind Energy (energy), Complete Genomics (health care), First International Oil (energy), G.E. Appliances (technology), IBM—P.C. division (technology), Legendary Entertainment Group (entertainment), Motorola Mobility (technology), Nexteer Automotive (automotive), Riot Games (entertainment), Smithfield Foods (food), Teledyne Continental Motors and Mattituck Services (aerospace), Terex Corp. (machinery), Triple H Coal (mining), Zonare Medical Systems (health care).


It’s absolutely mind-boggling how far China’s influence goes it even delves into our educational system, and as our elected officials, China has been accused of using blackmail and bribery to get favorable policies passed and to influence our country’s future. And once you start looking at our elected officials’ connections to China, it makes you really wonder what’s going on. Our own elected officials have sold our country out to China. 


China has infiltrated itself into every aspect of the Average American citizen, most of us couldn’t survive without China, we couldn’t get the medicines that we need, the United States has outsourced almost everything crucial for our day to day lives, and at any moment China could cut us off. This is is why China is the real threat, not Russia or North Korea. If the rest of the US doesn’t wake up, it will be too late and we will be at the mercy of our Chinese overlords.

Re-imagining Education for a Post-Covid Society

Let’s be honest with ourselves, the public education system in the United States has been failing our kids for the last several generations with each year, it only gets worse. We continue to let this tragedy continue to affect the futures of our kids and our country. In the ’50s and 60’s the golden standard of getting somewhere in this country was graduating High School, and receiving your High School Diploma, times have drastically changed and in today’s world to have a higher chance of being successful you must have some type of higher education, or a serious drive to want to be successful. We must demand better for ourselves and the future of our country.  The idea that kids don’t go to college, just because they just can’t afford it really should worry you.
